Great for blocking all sorts of pop-ups but ... discovered recently I have to temporarily disable it to watch game recaps from NBA.COM.

This is a fantastic lightweight extension but It does not work with SM 2.46 64bit so a update would be great.

Much more lightweight than uBlock Origin.
I wish we could wishlist certain sites, but I understand that'll probably reduce the performance of this add-on.

not working on my Firefox

Loads really fast and works but with quirks. It will block some things that are not ads. Like weather information on my local news website. Doesn't block youtube ads. If those two things were fixed/added, this would be an easy 5 star plugin.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.6.1).Bear in mind this isn't just an ad-blocker, it's also a tracking/privacy protector, so it'll block certain web-widgets which can be used to track users. Regarding Youtube, their adverts are blocked here without problems, hence not sure about which ads are you seeing or from where they comes -- could be another add-on injecting them?

Note 4 6.0.1
This blocks pop ups where all other fail to do so. This is a must for all Firefox users.
Great Add-on.
Thanks!

After the last patch August 20-26, began to block the usual flash video, which is not advertising content.

Excellent lightweight adblocker, but the latest update wont install in Thunderbird without amending the install.rdf file. This is because the minimum version is set at 48 when the latest Thunderbird release is 45.2.

Bluhell Firewall stopped working today (in Firefox 48) ... and is now working again a few hours later. Well done!

I'm very happy with this little useful program, blocks ads and block fraudolent sites. Unfortunately some spam site opens 3 or 4 new windows every minute. The firewall block the site on the new window but leave the window open! and I have to close it one for one. Would be nice to block totally the new window and don't even allow it to open.

Why? It is legit.

This definitely does the job, in a simple, quick way. Perhaps not as powerful as some more complicated add-ons, but great to install and forget about!

I consume a lot of content through YouTube and follow the content of a few channels routinely. Many of these channels partially depend on the YouTube ad revenue. Although white listing YouTube means that I'll have to see the video ads at the beginning of some videos, most of the times I am fine with it, knowing that watching the ads for a few seconds helps the creator to keep the content rolling.
Scrolling through this review section I could see quite a few people who would find a white listing option useful.
I do understand that the developer wanted to keep the add-on as streamlined as possible. And I am sure that this approach was one of the reasons why BluHell is resource friendly. But something like a white listing option will add a lot of merit to the add-on, and possibly outweigh the disadvantages of adding this customizability.
It would be great if the developer could give the white listing option a second thought.
Thanks.

Works well, but needs a whitelist for those small sites you visit frequently that need adverts to survive.
So currently 4 stars, not 5
