I was able to download a video I edited from MotionBox.com a site that uses RTMP technology on their videos. So I am satisfyed. Now if only they could find a way to download Veoh videos then I would give it all stars! ;)

Да, реально путная вещь.
Если сидишь ВКонтакте - то без разницы, в линуксе ли, в винде ли - с этим аддоном все легко и просто. Хочешь - "play" ролик, хочешь - "download" его же.
Автору - респект!

I don't want to give this a 1 as it is a good program, however it is very buggy with Firefox 3.6. I have not had crashing problems like some have said but there is a problem that whenever I click a youtube video it tries to download it instead of opening it and gives me many "Bad server" errors. I disabled Download Helper and the problem went away, I did this 3 times and it started doing it again every time I enabled download helper. For now I am uninstalling it as it makes Youtube completely unusable. Please fix this issue, I am not the only one here that has experienced this problem.

- no possibility to avoid the big advertisement page ("how to download the videos?"); all the times I have to read this ?
- no possibility to resize this window also to view the title of video better;
- no possibility to clear all the previous video viewed automatically;
- no possibility to enter the option panel of the program (where videos are saved, for example ?)

Waiting a better and complete version.

Creo es uno de los mejores plugins para bajar videos flash, el funcionamiento es correcto, la interfaz es simple y muy fácil de usar, podría mejorarse un poco si se agrega una opción para ocultar el panel derecho de información "How to download videos?". Saludos!

I think I may have found my perfect video downloader!
Thank you so much for developing this addon, it makes my life so much easier.

Other video downloaders don't let you change the name of the video you're downloading, and don't let you select a download path each time. This one does -- and it's incredibly easy to use. Thanks so much.

I have no idea what happened, but NetVideoHunter (NVH) stopped working. The arrow still shows in bar at the bottom but it doesn't recognize when I play a video, so the number never increments and the videos don't show in the download list. The only thing I can think of is a recent Windows update I ran (something about IE8 cumulative security update). I am running Windows XP Pro SP3 and Firefox 3.6.
Any help on this issue would be great as I use this Add-On all the time.

-> I can confirm that this happens under Linux as well (Ubuntu 9.10 Live-cd).

"2. Pls provide 'Download All' option in the net video hunter window."
-> I would *LOVE* this feature. Although a checkbox system might be nice too.. "Download Selected" :)

And 1 other feature request -- for after first 2 are done :)
-> Ability to set an "auto-save folder" similar to in Snapper [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2703] or FEBE [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2109].

One if not the best video collector arround!
@ Astral4 : use tabs not windows, this way you won't encouter this kind of trouble.

I haven't had a chance to use it much but wanted to give it a god review as it deserves one. I was using the Flash Video Downloader 1.9.96 and couldn't dwonload videos from a Site I frequent often. Got rid of that and tried thos one and it worked great! This should be rated much higher than it is...certainly above the previously mentioned down loader. Thanks for all the time and energy you put into it...much appreciated!!!

Great add-on, though with a few glaring issues. Each Firefox window has its own video list that it maintains; there's no central NetVideoHunter list that all windows share. So, if you want to clear the list, you have to go to each and every Firefox window and clear from there (and I routinely have 10-15).

That's made worse by not being able to block certain sites from appearing on the list. If I watch a NetFlix movie, it records an entry into the download list each and every second of the movie. It's common to have the download list include 2,000+ entries after watching a single movie. And, going back to the first issue, those 2,000+ entries have to be cleared out of each of my 10 windows, one at a time.

Besides those two glaring issues, it's a great add-on and does its job.
