Really happy to support these guys - this extension really is the only one of its kind. It works very well and their support is very friendly and helpful. I'm forced to use exchange at work, and this is the only solution that I've found that works on Linux for me. Highly recommended - support the developer!

This indeed does what I expect, sync my mailbox etc. Two nice things I can't find yet though:
1. Download all mail button. I've a new account added with owl and want all my emails downloaded when adding an account
2. The checkbox ' save reply in same folder' is disabled when using an account linked with owl.

Not as smooth as expected.
I was really excited after the testing phase and bought a license. Now that I work with it day by day I must say that it does not really satisfy my needs.
* Calendar is unstable:
Making appointments and processing answers to invites is really unstable.
Sometimes the appointment is not sent to others, once the event was duplicated locally and I was unable to process answers to the event. Event notifications show up delayed or not at all.
I already wrote the support, never got an answer.
When I need to create an event and invite others I need to use the OWA Web interface for now.
* Mailing part:
„Unread counter“ for mailbox folders are often outdated.
Apart from that the „mailing“ Part is really stable and ready for day-to-day use. Also the Addressbook integration works really good.
Edit: OK, wasn't aware of the fact the calendar is beta. The mailing part of the addon deserves 5 stars
The calendar is still in beta and not a promised or advertized feature.

It took a time to try OWL. I looked for a manual to install OWL. at last I just tried it. It took less than 5 min to install. Account name, password and web link to the mail. That's all whats needed. If I had knew this, I would have swiched to OWL for month.
€10? Its very reasonable.

Very helpful and well done extension. However last versions lack changelog info - would be nice to see what's changed!

Worked seemlessly. Now I want to configure a new Email Account, but I cannot find the settings to achieve that. The instructions say that there should be a button next to owl icon under addons, but there is not. Useless for me right now!
!!!EDIT!!!:
Everything works again as expected. I just updated to the newest version of Thunderbird (78.2.1) before the bug arose, but I don't think that the update is the source of the bug.
The source of the problem came from changing the profiles folder location, which made the settings tab disappear and removing my exchange account.
The settings tab for the addon was visible again, after I uninstalled, restarted thunderbird (restarting was necessary) and reinstalled the addon. The settings tab then showed an error that it couldn't find the addon's settings folder, pointing to the old profile location. After uninstalling the addon, restarting tb and installing again, the account showed up again and the addon worked as expected.
Sorry, for being too lazy to write an email.
Hi Daniatic,
please send support requests per email to owl.support at beonex.com, not here.
It appears that you cannot find the Owl settings page.
Unfortunately, Thunderbird (and Firefox) keeps changing the UI and buttons how to access it, with almost every version. So, it's difficult to tell in a generic way, and I need to know your Thunderbird version.
Generally, the Owl settings are accessible in the same way as the settings of all other TB extensions. In Thunderbird 78, depending on which exact view you are on, you need to click on the "..." button for Owl (in the addons list) or the "Preferences" tab (in the addon details page).
And, of course, please make sure that you have the latest version of the addon installed (currently version 0.7.6).

Simple to use, straightforward add-on.
What worked for me: e-mail, shared mailboxes
What didn't work for me: calendar, to do and group mailboxes/calendars
(where I guess the calendar and to do should have been working out of the box and the group mailboxes/calendars haven't been implemented (yet))

Worked fine until July. Now, every time I try to connect my exchange account I get a login error. Initial support with possible solutions was prompt, but they didn't work and now I get the feeling I'm being ignored. Only 10 bucks though so worth the punt for when it functions.

I have been using Exquilla for 2 years now, and have been more than pleased. Easy install, saves me lots of miles by not having to go the webmail route for mails with my accounts.
After the recent auto update to Thunderbird 78 on my system I was a bit worried about having to set up everything from scratch again, but lo and behold, everything went full auto (after purchasing an Owl licence, of course)! This is awesome! Took me 5 mins to get up and running again, no sweat. Thanx Beonex for the hard work!

I am using the EWS-variant and it is working extremly stable. Apparently it also works now for address books and calendar - task not, but this is from my point of view not such a big one anymore, as those are nowadays quite often managed outside of Exchange. The developer was very responsive for issues in earlier versions and effectively fixed them.

It basically works, but there are several obvious bugs with forwarding emails and purging junk. I reported them months ago via Beonex website and never got any response and what is worse they have not been fixed in the July 12, 2020 version. This is a shame because our company paid for hundreds of licenses. When you charge money for your product, you need to stand behind it.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.6).Hello Sergey, we are currently working hard at updating to Thunderbird 78, and the fallout of that. The July 12 update was specifically for that.
While we do fix bugs, please understand that we cannot guarantee to fix every single bug that will be reported to us. Some features are explicitly not supported at the moment, e.g. Junk mail.

This add-on is a life saver for me. I have been looking for an exchange connector for Thunderbird for years and this not only connects the Mail part the Calendar as well. Works very well and the price is quiet reasonable.

Excellent plugin and developer is very fair - I was charged whilst not using the plugin as it failed my particular situation and he refunded me completely!!!
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.2).Hello csm, thank you for this kind review!
Just to clarify for other readers: We do not charge automatically after the trial. You have to take action and purchase the addon. csm had purchased the addon, and created a subscription, and then forgot about it. The renewals are automatic, but we send out a reminder email, so that subscribers can cancel the subscription before the next charge happens. Apparently, this failed somehow in this particular case, and we tried to be customer friendly for csm.
csm, I'm glad we made you happy!
