Zemanta makes adding links and related stuff to blog posts so much easier... and with it effectively boost traffic. Cool stuff.

I have used this add on for quite some time, and it's very handy and useful in my blog posts! I haven't had any trouble with it so far, and would recommend it to anyone. :-)

Zemanta is supposed to work with Gmail and Yahoo. I installed the extension but I don't see Zemanta when I composed in Gmail or in Yahoo. On the lighter side, it's working with my blog but would love it better if I can also use it in my email accounts.

Email is not enabled by default. You can enable it via the Zemanta icon in the location bar, or via Preferences.

EDITED REVIEW: This one WAS a true 5 star blockbuster until it stopped working for Thunderbird. For someone like me who does serious blogging and does extensive forum participation it is shocking to have that wealth of information handy in those situation! The quality and the ease of the information is truly sensational! I put this one in my "Apollo! Pack" collection but I would like to really sing it's praises when it works for TB again.

I've been using Zemanta since its earliest days and I swear by it! In fact, it's *so* effective that I sometimes have to disable it to avoid getting lost in all the stuff it brings up!

@ET66 (Comment made on August 21, 2009): Zemanta works best when you just go with the flow; let go of your planned approach and everything else and allow yourself to be inspired by Zemanta's suggestions. The end result is usually nowhere near what you'd set out to write, but you'll be pleasantly surprised by it, all the same!

I think that it's great so far, I've really only used it on blogger so far. The images and links come up quickly and are easy to add.

I do like the add-on, but wasn't overly impressed with the first use of it. I was writing a blog post on education and technology and made one reference to the new Transformers 2 movie and Megan Fox and all of the photos and the articles dealt with Megan Fox or Transformers. Not a single one dealt with education or technology, despite the numerous references to both subjects. I'm hoping it becomes more intuitive as time goes on and learns by my blog posts.

I do share concerns regarding images and such.

I simply love Zemanta! iI downloaded it, not knowing what to expect and when I went to add a new post to my blog to my delight I saw how helpful this program it! Thanks

The privacy concerns I read in another post are overblown. Here is what their TOS says
"By submitting content to or generating metadata, content and content enhancements through the Zemanta service, you grant Zemanta ltd. a non-exclusive perpetual, sublicensable, royalty-free license to that metadata."

non-exclusive means you still own your content. A lot of services do things like this and its especially smart for Zemanta because that meta content will help them tune suggestions for users.
