Peter Klausen: thank you!!!
it really is a great plugin and it really DOES work in linux. it even does is extremely fast unlike (most) other plugins.
maintainer, please correct this mistake ("linux uncompatibility", not the speed :D).
btw, you don't need to download it in windows or whatever, just klick on the version number in the bottom of the page, choose a version and you'll be able to download it anyway.

This is one of the greatest Add-ons and it even works with LINUX!!!
I tested it the last weeks on Sabayon-Linux and it works without any problems!
To get the Add-on you have to download it on a Windows-System by right clicking on the "Add to Firefox"-Button and safe the
"save_images-0.5.1-fx-win.xpi" to your disk. Now you only have to open this file on your Linuxsystem with Firefox (right-klick on the file and "open with" select "Firefox"). This will install "Save Images" in your Linux-Firefox. :-)
That's it.
Thanx Lumox for your fantastic work!

Instead of the combo box which allows only selecting a single image type at a time how about a listview with checkboxes so that multiple types can be set. Quite a few times I have saved images in a page and inadvertently missed a few because some were jpg and some were png. Not a huge thing but annoying just the same.

In addition to the existing "Open Image Links" and "Save all images", I'd like to be able to "Save All Image Links" with one click, instead of having to open them, then "Save all images to the right".
I have nothing to add.

Noble attempt... Yet between old icons and "should be like this" sighs, the similarly functioning "Linky" does its job better IMO. Good effort yet needs more polishing...

thanks, this is a great tool, exactly what i needed. this is a top-10 add-on.
but i'd like to ask you if it would be posssible to develop a sort of "Save page" add-on that saves web pages without .js, .css, small gifs, user avataras and other bulk -- just html and images?
perhaps to have it as a button in the toolbar to avoid multiple clicks.

Good add-on. It has some of the features of Linky and some of the features of DownloadThemAll put together. Gives easy control of the name of the reloaded images. Easy to use.
I wish that it would remember previous directories -- it only remembers one.

+ Great options and customization
+ efficient and intelligent in file naming
- lacks the ability to add a prefix or suffix to the original file's name
- could be a bit more intelligent concerning the filtering and formatting of image links

Great addon with a lot of options. The only thing desperately needed is to be able to save only the images larger (or smaller, maybe also) than a certain resolution.

I can't make the add-on to automatically close the tabs after saving
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.2).It may be that the tabs are being locked, protected, frozen by another add-on (tab-mix-plus?) which would prevent them from closing.

After further use, i found this add-on is much better then my earlier quick judgement and deserve 5 star. With Unicode language support and saving location by URL path function (as like in FDM) will reach perfect!!
