I'm pleasantly surprised to find this awesome search engine, the SSL makes this the top notch for me to be my main search engine.
Thank You for this.. =)

This is an awesome search-engine with a simplistic interfacial touch!!

DuckDuckGo search is fantastic, but you should give DuckDuckGo Plus to Seamonkey users too, the DuckDuckGo Plus add-on for Firefox doesn´t work with Seamonkey :-(

I love this addon, but there is a very specific bug with it. Without any kind of prompting it will load up with the "Thank you for updating tab." It will do this when no updates have occurred. If I leave it alone, the tab will not come back. However, if I remove and reinstall the addon then a few days later (after many closings and openings) it will pop up the "Thank you for updating" tab again.
It is quite annoying because it gives me the feeling something is horribly wrong.

It's an engin you can trust and it serves you with honest search results. No tracking or manipulating results like Google does. This one's a keeper.

This is the best search engine - no tracking, no filter bubble and bang tags and nice goodies.

The pop up I was getting was actually from FasterFox, not DuckDuckGo. The pop-ups are still on other sites although the disfunctional hijacking of the link button in Yahoo mail stopped happening when I uninstalled DuckDuckGo, the culprit was FasterFox.

won't let me download the add on. keeps telling me i need the firefox browser... that's funny, the only browser i use is firefox
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (20120317).This is an unfortunate bug in some versions of Firefox that prevent search plugins from being installed. Our plugin is nothing more than a pure open-search XML file and has no other features that prevent compatibility.

Excellent search engine. I recently discovered it and now I use it almost exclusively. I will recommend it to everyone I know (specially when they complain about other search engines). The only weak point is that it gives precedence to English language pages when the search phrase is language neutral, despite languages settings, but i can forgive that for the good quality overall.

The cliched preface, “Just One Word…”-- while I applaud the effort-- I am disappointed by the delivery. My first thought is “Better? ‘Better’ than what?”. https://duckduckgo.com is deserving of something much more telling than ‘better’. (forgive me, for I realize this reads as some kind of attack on whomever wrote that review. it's not. it's a cry for-- no pun intended-- something /better/. Let us propose a challenge: If you had to summarize the value of the “Duck Duck Go” search-engine experience, in one word, what would it be?
Here's my entry: Freedom.

I tried it and it's a good Google-Killer.

I have used DDGO for 2 wks & am really satisfied & impressed with the results I have been receiving. The first results seem more relevant 2 my topics than other engines. I like that DDGO does NOT track my data like all the others. I will continue using & recommending DDGO 2 friends...

I get relevant search results without the tracking or bubbling from the other search engine. I'm very pleased with DuckDuckGo.

I love this search engine as well as the plugin to use it in the search bar. And best of all, Google doesn't get to collect my data.
