My Reviews

Dark Reader

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It's the Thunderbird dark theme but it includes the messages too. Now everything is in dark mode. This is just what I wanted.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.9.28).

Flexible Identity

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Five stars when it works on newsgroups.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.5).

DSN Settings 2

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Still works on TB 52.9.1! Allows you to set delivery status notification to on, by default, and several other options. Exactly what I was looking for. Not sure why this option was removed from Thunderbird, but it should be included, so thanks to the developer of this.

CustomizeMyBird [Tb52-60] (discontinued)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Love it. I've been looking for something like this for a long time. Tired of trying to use a DOM inspector to find the tweaks needed in UserChrome. This does the trick.

***Love the new tabbed settings options (radio buttons). Much easier to use now***

***YES!!!*** Finally got rid of those 90's folder icons! Looks like he added quick-link access to each part of the UI, too. DONATION TIME!!! Thanks Dev!

One other feature that would be nice, is if, for every setting that lets you choose the "blue Aero" colors, there was also a customizable/color picker option like there is with the scrollbars. I'd like to be able to tweak colors on places like the message header area of the Read pane, and others.

Thanks!!

Love the new CSS editing options!! So much easier than dealing with UserChrome.css, and you don't have to restart TB to make it work!

Folder Account

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Exactly what I wanted. Lets you choose your identity on a per-folder basis, from the folder properties dialogue. This should be default Thunderbird code.

I hope the developer updates it to work with TB 60.

Send Later Button

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

You'd think the person who made the Send Later add-on would have included a simple button to invoke the features. Can't for the life of me understand such a blatant oversight. Anyway, this add-on does exactly what's needed. Works as advertised. It invokes the send later options.

Mnenhy

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

As others have noted, even the Bugfix 0.8.6 version listed below, does not work with TB 52.9.1. So sad, as this is the only add-on that provides the needed functions for newsgroups. I can't believe someone is not developing this.

So glad they made the pro version free. I purchased it years ago, then lost the information to reinstall it. Finally have it back. Love this add-on. Hope they keep maintaining and developing it.

TweeQuilla - Twitter for Thunderbird

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Pretty decent Twitter access for Thunderbird. On my wish-list, you would be able to view the profile picture for every tweet, right there in your message header view, or at least in the message body.

SmartTemplates

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

For a long time, I've been searching for an extension that will allow me to set custom introductions in Usenet replies. SmartTemplate4 does exactly what I want, enabling me to insert any header information, and format it as desired. Now, instead of just: "On date, Author wrote", you can have it put just about anything you want. This is the first extension I've donated to. Thanks!

PLEASE UPDATE for 5.0! This is one of my favorite applications. Makes it easy to input pre-defined information in a post.
