In a little more detail...
Werk met computers voordat Windows op de markt verscheen, ik kom uit het Atari/Commodore64-tijdperk (1981), waar de beeldschermen nog monochrome waren en we 'knoeide' met DrDos en Basics.
Sinds 12 februari 2012 heb ik MS Windows definitief vaarwel gezegd...... Spelenderwijs leer je een nieuw systeem het makkelijkst. dus op die datum ben ik begonnen met Ubuntu 9.04/9.10 en later met Lucid. Overstappen naar Ubuntu of een ander Linux/Unix distro (uitvoering) had ik veel eerder moeten doen! Natuurlijk is alles vreemd en nieuw, maar het voelt aan als in de beginjaren met DOS/Basics wanneer ik aan het knutselen was om alles te laten draaien. Na ruim 30-jaar met Windows-software gewerkt te hebben was ik Microsoft gewoon zat, vooral telkens voor een Windows versie te moeten betalen, zonder ooit maar eens hulp of support te krijgen, heeft mijn overstap-keuze sterk onderbouwt. Met Firefox werk ik al vanaf het begin, maar door mijn gezondheid situatie (meervoudig gehandicapt 2000 en bedlegerig sinds 2006) ben ik niet in staat wat mijn brein zou willen, namelijk assisteren op vrijwillige basis op software gebied; ik heb eerder zelf hulp/support nodig.
Indien iemand m/v door ziekte of handicap niet deelneemt aan de maatschappelijke onderdelen van het dagelijkse leven, dan wordt hij/zij genegeerd door buren/familie, zó hard is deze maatschappij. En ze laten jou gewoon barsten..... omdat ik geen contact met ze zoek.... de omgekeerde wereld dus.

I can't give 'now' a good score to your product, because your not really honest about it in your head-description. After searching all translate add-ons I came to your add-on and found links about Github & the Babbelzilla project and nowhere the name of Google. So my my first impression was positive without using the add-on.
But I became curious when I read the comments and specifically that from of @cegasdg. Of course I became disappointed when I read your obscure answer... because is your add-on not working without the help of Google translation (?), than is your add-on the same as the other Translate add-ons.... And IMO if I choose for it, it's better to take the original Google Translator than your add-on.
The Google company have taken over almost the whole 'open source' industry on the web, after their voluntary cooperation with the US-intelligences.
Not only China (proxy-scandal) but in the whole world is since November 2013 a 'silence' boycott started against all (social) companies/organisations and their products, who became hot news via Edward Snowden publicities.
I don't tell you this to follow the same tactics as others, but in the Firefox browser it becomes 'with the day' more difficult not to work with Google products or not to get Google cookies in the computer. Per example: almost every Firefox add-on developer have a 'free' Google website with the possibility to collect advertising, e.s.o., e.s.o. In Europe the Google company have almost 95% of the market and it's really suffocating.
I work with Firefox almost since the start and it was like in 'heaven' to work in a free 'open source' browser than the software in the same tight vein.
Google is changing the software of his competition and their users, they get no chance to survive under their sneaky behaviour and most computer/software users/developers sleeping further.... without knowing.
This is no personal attack to your product, but it's a pity that there is no difference with other 'translate' add-ons and for me it's no base to search that difference.
For sure I would love working with your add-on if it can work without the interference of Google Translation (API) and for sure your add-on should get an high ranking if it would well-known by other users. Financial support shall be better.

African Grey

I like the theme of the 'African Grey' because of the picture of course. It's like people not every 'African Grey' have the same looks, but I like this one because it's near ours. We have two and love them as our children. It's a pity that I can't change her/his place, because of the add-on icons and tabs under it (that corner is pretty full)... With the fact of the last paragraph I give you 4 stars. Hope you can push the picture a little higher (for me). The grey background colour of the theme is okay for me because it gives a soft transition to the outlines of the parrot, it's a lot better as the hard shade of colours of some other themes (to get pain in my eyes).

Ik zou een nieuwe add-on vertaler 'Engels - Nederlands' toejuichen, want het halve internet wordt gedomineerd door Google en ik wil namelijk niet met elke website die ik bezoek voor 90 dagen gevolgd worden! Voordat ik dus iets installeer wat nog niet door Mozilla Firefox is goedgekeurd (maar dan nog) wil ik wel weten wat de basis is van het vertaalsysteem, wat jij aanprijst. Ik gebruik normaal gezien de add-on van IMtranslator waarin ik Google als vertaler kan uitschakelen. Bij de add-on van 'vertalen.nu' kan ik dat jammer genoeg niet beoordelen. Zeker bij een nieuwe en zeker eerste add-on, had je ons gebruikers wel wat meer informatie kunnen geven, wat bijvoorbeeld de basis van jou add-on is. Ik vind dat namelijk niet terug in jou beschrijving. Op je website Jochemxxxxx.com kon ik ook geen informatie achterhalen en die site ziet er ook niet up-to-date uit. Ik ben bang dat Mozilla Firefox jou add-on laat verwijderen (met de meer strakkere regels), het zou zonde zijn van je energie die je er nu al in hebt gestoken. Een waardering moet ik geven maar die zal dus zeer laag zijn.
