Everything in one place. Great interface, skinable, very easy to use, keeps perfect sync with Google Calendar. Recommended.

Exactly what I was looking for. Works perfectly.

Well done but it lacks SMS notification selection, the MOST important feature in Google Calendar. As a result, not so useful as you can expect.

Awesome add-on. 5 out of 5.

I recently did a reinstall of Ubuntu and installed lightening from repository and it did not allow me to use this add-on.

I uninstalled repository lightening, installed lightening from Thunderbird add-ons, and voila! Provider for Google Calendar worked perfectly.

Please do not hound developer telling him there are bugs. It is the way I installed lightening!

Thank you Phillipp! Great Job!

That's great. Finally I managed to sync my Calendar. I've tried GCALDaemon and did not work properly e.g. Thunderbird remains blocked.

Good job guys..

You should have the following clearly visible in the initial description for this plugin - "This version of the Provider for Google Calendar REQUIRES Sunbird/Lightning 0.8." -
Otherwise, people like me who install it will be left wondering why it doesn't work, and the uninformative message displayed is "Requires additional items'
Thanks.

I guess its different when on the Thunderbird page, but if you are on the Sunbird page, then it says "Works with 0.8 - 0.8". I'll see what I can do on the Thunderbird page.

Is the display of version numbers your only gripe? Personally I don't think that justifies a 2 star rating.

Well done. I love this. An useful extension. There's a same one in Thunderbird add-ons, and it doesn't work at all. (s.t wrong?)

Hello, thanx for excellent plugin!
If you include support of choice SMS and EMAIL as remind method (as in web-interface) plugin functionality great rising!

Excellent !
Will be a lot better with multiple alarms / SMS reminders support though.

Please everybody, don't forget to vote for these enhancements in Bugzilla !
There are a lot of people complaining here, but only 3 and 5 votes in Bugzilla ! That is nonsense !

Use default alarms defined in Google Calendar, or add support for SMS alarms :
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389088

Only one alarm can be defined per event (multiple alarms wanted) :

It has been said before, and I'll say it again: what a great add-on. I can now access my gmail AND my gmail calendar without having to open up a browser. I love having everything in one place, which is why I was using gmail and the gcal together. When I found I could use gmail with TB I was excited, but wished I could do gcal too. Now I can.

I know, what a waste of a review. Sorry. But don't you just love it when something just works?

Fantastic Idea! Just need to get the kinks worked out.
As for just making changes to your own Google calendars it appears to work well. However from time to time it "forgets" passwords. On the other hand when using it to view and or make changes to another persons non public Google calendars, even thou you have permissions to view and or change, it seems to "forget" the login and passwords every 30 minutes. Sometimes reprompting you over and over and over again within seconds of typing the password and using the remember passwords feature. Eventually you can make changes/add events to another's calendar for which you have permissions. But the password prompts seem to be never ending.

There is a sync system for Outlook that seems to remedy this issue. However for those of us who hate using "Out Broke" I would much rather get this terrific Thunderbird add-on up to par.

Without an SMS option it looses substantial power to be used as a valid com tool.

Overall this add-on has the potential to be a fantastic Google powered Lighting enhancer. Look forward to new releases soon.
