I used it to import and export multiple accounts settings between my Thunderbird Portable, to my desktop (Thunderbird) application.

Worked great. Simple as 1,2, 3.

Nice tool. It wood be a great benefit if you could dump any accounts at once. As above-metioned.

I use MozBackup which can backup (and restore) multiple profiles (full or account settings) for FireFox, Thunderbird, Seamonkey etc.

This is a good start, but I have over 20 accounts set up... exporting them one at a time, then reimporting them would be better than recreating them all from scratch (I haven't tested it yet), but doing them all at once would be *so* much better...

Please?!

Only imports settings in RDF files. Useless for client-sided email programs such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail.

Accountex is an excellent beginning. One can but wonder why Thunderbird doesn't provide a native capability for exporting account settings for backup or exchange purposes.

If only Accountex could export-import multiple account's settings at a single time (rather than one-by-one) it would be even handier...
