I've been using this Add-on for long time but currently I have problem with it

recently I've updated Firefox to the version 54.0.1 (64-bit), and the version of Mozilla Archive Format is ( 4.1.1 )
and since then the add-on dosn't work at all when I want to save pages in the formate ( Web Archive, MHTML )

is there any conflict between Mozilla Archive Format 4.1.1 and Firefox 54.0.1 (64-bit) ?

Or is there any conflict with another Add-on ?

In order to view MAFF files, you have to disable multiprocess... about:config and then set anything matching "browser.tabs.remote.autostart*" to "false". I wrote a server-based script to generate MAFF files (using WGET & 7Zip), but now I can't even view them using Firefox. Are there any alternatives to this MAFF addon? I can't seem to find anything else and I'm moving to Chrome as a result of WebExtension's impact on addon developers. MAFF support was my last kind of my reason to stick w/Firefox as a developer. I really hope this gets updated or Mozilla considers adding native support. (Hello was added in 2014 & removed in 2016. Pocket was added in 2015. I think MAFF is a more important feature than either.)

This is a useful and critical add-on for me, but the author doesn't seem inclined to update it for multiprocess AND the new WebExtensions format. If he wants us to Donate toward the work, it is not obvious.
In the meantime, I've discovered that you can
a) install the 'Chrome Store Foxified' add-on, then
b) visit the Chrome Web Store,
c) search for MHT and finally
d) install to Firefox the Chrome add-on named 'Save As MHT'.
So far, it seems to work. Crossing fingers .....

Great addon. One of the best. So shame that it will be droped down in favor of chasing "the fashion" browsers like chrome.

I use multiple different browsers, I also use ms word to open and annotate saved web pages. People I send mht files to also use different browsers.

This add-on
-REMOVED the basic FF htm, html save options.
-saves mht un-openable by internet explorer or word.
-is unable to save in ANY format openable by ie.

If it can OPEN IE mhts, the authors must know to code to SAVE in same format?
If this was a bug, it should have been clearly pointed out in the description. It looks more like some sort of attempt at forcing people to abandon ie? If so, it failed.
Ininstalled before bothering to try with any other browser.
Please let me know if someone makes an add-on that actually does what this one says it does.

In the meantime I shall continue to painfully copy paste urls of each page I need to save/reaccess/annotate, from FF to IE and save as files I can actually use.

After install extension, restart browser, close association tab, restart again, - there are no new items in the standard Save Page As... dialog box.

I still can use Save Page In Archive As... menu item, but usually press Ctrl+S, calling standart save dialog.
I try write to Paolo feedback email, but get answer "Connected to 62.149.128.200 but sender was rejected.".

I use it a lot, after the FF52 update it was broken, but the dev got it fixed quick. In all, its fast, works with ad blocker, so no annoying stuff is archived, simply love it.

Excellent addon but stopped being compatible with FF Beta 52.0b2 (64-bit), even in the dev version 4.0.2rc. Still not compatible with FF Nightly 54.0a1 (64-bit).

It's impossible. So few people understand how it is thin, smart, a rational solution?
Unbelievable.
Authors - thank you.

Compared to UnMHT, this is alpha software. MAF breaks frequently, corrupting your files. Saving often produces 0 byte files, silently. Conversion from maff to complete html frequently breaks, silently (and sometimes reliably too, reddit webpages never convert). A while back, Save Image As broke, silently, when Firefox updated, even though Save Image As seemingly has nothing to do with MAF.

Every break has one shared feature: it's always silent. Your backups will be corrupted and you won't have any idea because MAF never raises errors. You have to manually inspect every download to make sure it's ok. If you are a MAF user, you should go to your backup folder now and redownload all the 0-byte files, they'll be there.

Plus, MAF saves an information bar and icons by default. Once again, this is a problem that you won't discover until you manually inspect your backups.

In short, MAF has three problems:
1. the developer doesn't test his addon with Firefox pre-release, so the users are QA, experiencing every problem caused by Firefox updates. A major break appears once every 2 Firefox versions, under which a broad selection of backups will fail entirely.
2. breaks are always silent, the addon never throws errors, instead silently corrupting your backups. This makes 1) a big problem, because backup errors are very benign compared to silently corrupted backups.
3. default information bar save behavior is unpleasant and also completely silent, you won't learn about it until you check. The addon should ask before the first use, for features that permanently affect backups.

UnMHT doesn't have intentions to support Electrolysis, so all its users will be forced to migrate to MAF. I hope that MAF will improve before then.
