A great add-on but it does not work with TB78. Could it be updated? That would be fantastic!

Just another heartfelt plea for at least some the developer's radio silence to be broken, in the hope that they read their revews, as they seem uncontactable. I can see some people are migrating to Cardbook and TBSync, but I will only follow when all hope is lost, as Cardbook doesn't do lists/labels, and TBSync looks like it overlaps with Google Calendar provider functionality, and I'm scared to wreck a working setup just to get syncing back on my address book. All I want is to know if gcontactsync might come back one day, or definitely won't. Surely that only takes a minute?

Obviously no answer can be expected from J. Geenen. I have now installed CardBook. Synchronization with Google contacts is even more convenient than with gContactSync - it works automatically.

Josh. We all agree this add-on was of real help until now. What does it take for you to answer the calls and let the users know if there is a future development in the cards or not. At least there would be a resolution to this matter. Better than walking in the dark.

Such a wonderful tool, been using for many years. Suddenly, doesn't work with TB 78.3.3. Hopefully, Josh will update but if not, he still deserves the 5-star review as I got so much use out of the tool over the years. It was great when it was working. Hopefully, it will work once again.

Great tool, that has become essential to me. It is a pity it is not updated, and it raises 2 questions: why such a very useful tool is not integrated in TB? Why so many add-ons breakups each time TB upgrades? Is it only a security test in the add-on source like "if version > XX exit" or do TB developpers change so many things in the code every 2 or 3 monthes that most of the add-ons become obsolete?

This was a great product, until literally just now.

Thunderbird updated to version 78.3.3 and it automatically disabled gContactSync as incompatible. Please update.

Amazing addon, works perfectly and seamlessly for TB68. Only some of our machines are on 78 and it doesn't work at all! Love your work Josh, hope you can find some time to update soon!

Josh Geenen, please give us an answer as to whether gContactSync is being worked on for compatibility with the TB78. Whether you have to wait a long time, whether the project has been dropped or or ...
It is an excellent tool that many would want.

Finally I switched on TBsync extension wich is fully working with Thunderbird 78

Still not compatible with TB78.3.x, such a shame!
I switched to Cardbook and it works very nice... Gcontactsync must have been incompatible for a while, since i'm missing 50! contacts compared to my Google account... With Cardbook the numbers match!

Not compatible with Thunderbird 78.x.
TBSync work fine.
If you ever update the extension, I switch on yours.
