This extension adds a tremendous amount of power to Thunderbird's filtering capabilities. I especially love the fact that I can suppress the new mail notification icon for selected filters. What this means is that I can suppress that alert icon on all the automated emails alerts I get for various reasons, while still getting alerts for other emails that might need my immediate attention.
This extension helps bring sanity to my inbox.

This appears to be great software. However, I have added Mail Redirect (0.7.6.7) to my add ons, and would like to be able to create a filter using the Redirect command it adds to the Message menu. That is not, apparently, an allowed filter in 7.0.1.
Is it possible to add that to FiltaQuilla?

Great! This makes TB much more powerful and effective. Love it.

It's simply fantastic!
Now, every filter is possible.

Thanx for your hard efforts and precious time spent on making this work in the latest nightlies. I really, really appreciate it. I confirm that it works fine up to latest 7.0 alphas too!

I was looking for this functionality (as a filter action) and found no other extension that can do it. However, it's not trivial even with this one. I post my solution here, maybe someone need it, too. I had to use a JavaScript action, with the following script:
/* delete skip trash */
let hdr = msgHdrs.queryElementAt(0, Ci.nsIMsgDBHdr);
hdr.folder.deleteMessages(msgHdrs, msgWindow, true, false, null, false);
Maybe I should have posted it to FiltaQuilla's forum, but if someone looks for an extension with this functionality, won't get to that forum.
This JavaScript-action feature makes this add-on really powerful. Even if you don't have knowledge of JavaScript and Mozilla components, you can go to FiltaQuilla's forum and ask for help! This makes this add-on even greater.

Great. Especially the ability to detach attachments to a individually specified folders on the harddisk is a big helper.

I needed the possibility to filter emails using regular expressions. FiltaQuilla really surprised me. An amazing add-on with many options and great potential. Works flawlessly on TB 3.1.6. I am quite sure that some of the bad reviews here are the result of users not completely understanding and mastering TB filters in general and the complexity of this extension in particular.

I installed this to use the Do Not Notify feature but I havent been able to get it work. The filter is applied and I can even see it in the log, yet the notification pops up.
Gmail has this quirk that ALL inbox mail also show up as part of All Mail and it causes notification to pop up twice for every mail. I tried using this add on to disable one of the two notification but failed to get it working.

Just installed it on 3.0.4 and it works great! I was looking for some tool to filter stuff with RegExp :-). BTW. I've just created a test search folder with Subject Regex Match and it seems to work fine. You just need to remember to use the Javascript syntax if you want to use case-insensitive search.

As far as I can tell, the "Subject Regex Match" test doesn't work, at least in the Find window and saved searches. Regex searching is the reason I installed this extension. It would get 5 stars for regex capability alone, if it worked; instead, I'm giving it 3 because it's a good idea, just not quite finished.

Save Attachments To action not working for me. All extracted file size is zero.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.1).Sometimes body-related custom actions did not work in TB 3.0 for IMAP, so TB 3.1 also allows me to specify that a filter action needs a body, which makes these work properly in IMAP. I believe this was the issue with save attachments. So hopefully this will work correctly in TB 3.1 beta 2 when used with FiltaQilla 1.10 (both future releases as of 2010-04-12).

Great! Only remove special words from subject is missing.

Let's give it the benefit of the doubt and say I misunderstood what the added option "Do Not Notify" is supposed to mean. But I can't get incoming items in my Feeds accounts to stop announcing themselves - the reason I acquired this add-on.

I have been looking for this add-on for a LONG TIME... too bad that is only available for version 3... this is really sad, i guess there is no way to make this work for version 2 right?

Would like to try this on Thunderbird 2 but says it will only work w/ Thunderbird 3. I need a filter that automatically clicks on a url link containing ____ .

Great Addon
I posted in your forums about adding an action to extract attachment.
Thanks
I have added to the Thunderbird core code a new method which will allow me to implement a "detach to folder" option for FiltaQuilla versions that use that. This will be in FiltaQuilla 1.10 when used with Thunderbird 3.1 beta 2. I think this is what you wanted, as I already had an action to save attachment.

I was able to use this to automate tasks on my home pc triggered by text messages from my cell phone. Recommended!

Woohoo! I can hold my head higher now as a Thunderbird user now that FiltaQuilla has added the highly flexibile customizability Mozilla is known for to Thunderbird to be able to launch any file (and more) upon a new message as some other other mail clients were already able to do. Now I can record and have automatically play a specific message indicating important callers by name. Might even be used with home automation! The extension did the job as advertised.
