I've installed it, and its there in the Add-ons list, so how do you access it??? There's nothing, no button no tab, no menu item - nothing has changed. I registered on the support Web site but logging in crashes with SQL error messages so that's pretty usless. All the support assumes its functioning, but there's no support to tell you how to get it started.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.7.6).

After installing it gives functionality to create buttons. Go to View -> Add New Button... if you want to create your own using javascript. Or visit our forum to install some of the already made buttons from the database. Just find the button you want and click it to install, then drag it to a toolbar from your toolbar pallet.

HitMeWithIt - THIS is the whole page - no where else. Provide what is needed here. Not all over the web. (Not rating is because of bad design of this website, not because i actually wanted to rate it)

Just a note to that complete and utter RETARD there who is shouting about the lack of a help file and support.
Obviously you took the time to read the whole page...?

This is the very most useful Add-on that I have.

I now have toolbars full of customised buttons that are specific to the browsing that I'm doing.

Some I've downloaded from the Custom Buttons Forum Database, some I've downloaded and "tweaked" to make them absolutely what I want, and some... well I just needed to use the MakeAButton button - job done.

You can even "Request a button" to be authored for you on the Forum!

The guys there are very hepful and they really know their stuff!

Some buttons do not work with this version 2.0.7.1.

Just open customise toolbars and not do anything makes most buttons go dark until Firefox restarted.

Adds "Import a button" button with no delete in menu and removing from buttonsoverlay.xul does not work.

Button menu has save button, bookmark button, copy button name, three ways to copy button and no easy way to hide any of these.

I've used the original "Custom Buttons", by Yan, since it was released and it's a great extension. I finally decided to "upgrade" and am a bit disappointed.

This version adds quite a few "bells and whistles", some of which may be useful. Unfortunately, it also breaks a couple of my buttons and conflicts with other extensions; two that I found are "DapperFox" and "StumbleUpon". I wasn't about to spend a whole lot of time researching this but, FWIW, the thing that convinced me to stay with the original version is that, with either of these and possibly others installed, you're unable to add new buttons, at least by clicking a link for an existing button.

If the problems were resolved and there were an option to hide unused menu items, this'd be a "10".

Sorry you are having issues.

Please visit:
http://custombuttons2.com/forum/index.php

And PM me with:
Your system info. (OS, FF ver, TB ver etc.)
Buttons that are broke.
Buttons you can't seem to load with url to the page.
Was custombuttons also installed at the same time with custombuttons2?
They share the same namespace yet have different GUID's so they will come into conflict. I will check out these other extensions for conflicts.

Hi again Weishun
I went to the trouble of installing both extensions you claim to have issues with and found no issues.
I've yet to hear from you directly so I might assist you in isolating the issue and attempt to resolve it to your satisfaction.
Please contact me at the Custom Buttons² forum so we can resolve this.

Like all the best extensions, Custom Buttons^2 provides a simple solution to a missing feature in Firefox. It amazes me that this extension doesn't get more recognition. Thanks to the writers and all the script contributors at the forums!

Thank you to All for your trying Custom Buttons², and the thoughtful reviews. It is this kind of energy that fuels those 26 hour coding sessions.

The possibilities of this extension are endless! You can replace some extensions with this one, such as Autofill and Hide tab bar. Amazing extension, great community, great overall!

these guys are the greatest ... wonderful extension - my online life would be 20 times poorer without this - and the three devs here, m435tr0d, cblover, SCClockDr, have assured the survival of many bits of button code (born out of the existence of the original Custom Buttons by Yan) for our browsing future ... I cant thank them enough ...many many accolades are deserved for this crew

With CB, my browsing is very efficient and wonderful. It's because some simple extensions are replaced by some lines code. Great Job All Guys.

this is one of the best Firefox Add-ons ever very functional and allows you to have very very light customized buttons (such as the Toolbar Manipulator button that helps a lot all those people that has many toolbars... it hides them but in a more functional way than Netscape's Multibar).

an excellent extension! Congratulations!!

This edition represents a significant improvement in the features offered and active support.

This effort combined with the 100's of custom buttons already available on the web makes getting started a breeze.

Excellent support is available both from the authors and The Custom Buttons Forum at:
http://custombuttons.phpbbnow.com/index.php.
Thanks
GD
