I tried 2.0.2.1 with Firefox 2.0.0.20 (FF upgrade=downgrade! ;)
Drag/save images works with that option enabled but my FF already does that.
Re feature: "A URL will be saved instead of opened in a new tab if the Alt key is held while dropping."
Alt+Drag link fails to save link target:
When I Alt+Drag a link (to an image) I want saved, text is selected from where I click on the link to the window edge + nothing is dropped.
The only option enabled is "Use drag/drop to dl images".
Thanks.

Thanks. It works with 3.6. The add-ons is light and helpful.

Since the available version doesn't works with FF 3.6 I'd updated the .xpi file to make it compatible up to FF 3.7
It's NOT official but I'd NOT included any malicious code inside. Test it by yourself if you doubts!
You can grab it from Megaupload at:

For those who doesn't know how to edit & repack the xpi file by themselves. Tested by myself under FF 3.6 with no probs.

Nice adddon! Since the last "drag" addon is unavailable on FF 3.6, I noticed this one. One little thing I think you should taking care of is making "opening a clickable link in a new tab instead of searching for the link text" checked by default. The first time I use it, it always searches the context not open the link, I got angry about it. lol

Oh wow, I just figured out how to save images that are links! Haha, I guess it's a case of me being stupid rather than anything else. A good extension for those who don't actually use the directional dragging features of Easy DragToGo (like me; I can never remember which one is which!).

Although your product is good, Easy Drag to go had much more functionality.
It allowed you to set different actions depending what direction you dragged an item.
It drives me crazy to only be able to either save or open an image in a new tab when I'm used to dragging up to save and anywhere else to open in new tab. Having to additionally click on control is going backwards.
For now, I changed the version in the easy dragtogo install.rdf so it says it goes with firefox 3.6 and it seems to work just fine.
When you update your product I'd love to know. I'll keep an eye out.

Been using QuickDrag for quite a while now. Can't imagine FF without it, great job.

there is a big problem, if you drag a link, like
Quick Drag
, the plug-in will treat it as a text then start to search, but not open the link in new tab...

I have it. It's not already include in FF.
It's easy to download image or to search text or open a new link in a tab.
Thank you for this addon.

I don't get it. I can do nearly the same things already in FF. Nice effort, but it's completely redundant.

excellent, and as simply as could be to use!

A wonderful add on that does everything I want it to, except--when something is both an image and a link, there's no way of saving the image instead of opening the link. Being able to choose if it's a background or a foreground tab would also be really good, but that's not a feature I use a lot anyways.

Extract and edit the install.rdf in the .xpi and update version compatability to your choosing (i did maxversion 3.7). It already works fine with 3.6, its max compatability is just set to some beta, not 3.6 release. As ever, my favourite plugin!
