Plenty of bugs and instabilities were also fixed for Thunderbird v102, as FolderPaneViewSwitcher now respects the "compacted" view option. And as the icing on the cake there's a shortcut support for switching the folder panes:
on Windows use [alt] + [shift] + [9] to switch to the next pane and [alt] + [shift] + [8] for the previous pane
on macOS it's [option] + [shift] + [9]/[8]
on linux it's [ctrl] + [shift] + [9]/[8]

Previously, if you wanted to change the preferences to make a view available in the drop-down menu but not the arrows, you needed to uncheck the menu checkbox for the view and then check it again before you would be able to uncheck the arrows checkbox. This is now fixed.
The "All" view is now always enabled (at least in the drop-down menu) on the preferences screen, as it should be since it can't be removed from the drop-down menu.
The conversion to restartless is a good idea on its own, but it was motivated specifically by problems a user was having with the add-on failing to load properly when Thunderbird started up. I couldn't reproduce that issue myself, and I spent a lot of time troubleshooting that issue with that user and was unable to identify any fix for it short of converting the add-on to restartless. Doing that fixed his issue by completely changing how the add-on loads on startup. I assume if he was having that problem then others might as well, but it should now be fixed for everyone.

The Folder Pane View Switcher preferences now list all available views and allow you to select which ones should be visible in the pop-up menu. For the ones that are visible in the menu, you can select whether they are in the rotation selected by the arrows, i.e., if you want, you can have views that show up in the menu but don't show up when you click the arrows back and forth. Three notes:
- This release only supports Thunderbird 49 and newer. For older Thunderbird versions, you''ll need to use release 1.14 of this add-on.
- You can't have a view that's in the arrow rotation but not in the menu.
- Views you've disabled in the pop-up menu are still visible in the menu-bar menu even though they don't work. I'm probably not going to bother to fix this.

The remaining functionality of the add-on, i.e., automatically switching to the "All Folders" view when you over over the toolbar while dragging a message, remains in effect in Thunderbird 48+.
On older versions of Thunderbird, the view-switching arrows functionality is retained.
