Version 1.4.0: Choose your LLM engine
AitoMail now works with three engines, not just Ollama:
- Ollama (requires version 0.1.24 or newer)
- LM Studio (connect to its local server, default port 1234)
- Custom OpenAI-compatible API: any server that speaks the OpenAI chat completions format, such as llama.cpp, vLLM, Jan, OpenRouter, or api.openai.com
What's new:
- Engine selector in the settings page. Each engine remembers its own server URL, model, and API key, so switching back and forth loses nothing.
- API key support for servers that require authentication (stored locally, sent only as a Bearer header).
- Remote servers are supported through optional permissions: Thunderbird asks for your consent per host, and local setups keep working without any prompts.
- Existing Ollama settings migrate automatically. No reconfiguration needed after the update.
The connection test now works before saving and lists models from whichever engine you picked.
