Just found this Add-on recently and really like it because I also use ProtonMail, which has a native "Unsubscribe" button on every new email. However, I notice that I also have the Thunderbird Conversations add-on active. And with this add-on active, the "Unsubscribe" button doesn't appear on the email threads, so I should manually click "open email in new tab," so it will open as a native Thunderbird tab; that way, then the unsubscribe button appears. Can be really helpful if I can use BetterUnsubscribe alongside the Thunderbird Conversations add-on so the "unsubscribe" button will appear without me manually opening the email in a new tab. Or is this just me not knowing how to configure it? Really appreciate any clarity :)

Hi! Thanks so much for the detailed feedback. It's not a configuration issue on your end. Thunderbird Conversations replaces the native reading pane with its own custom view, and BetterUnsubscribe's button currently only renders inside that native reading pane, so when Conversations is active, there's nowhere for it to attach. That's exactly why opening the message in its own tab works: that restores the native view the button depends on. I'd like to fix this properly, there are two ways I can think to go about it:

1. Right-click -> Unsubscribe: an entry added to the right-click menu on any message in your message list. Works regardless of Conversations, one extra click.
2. A toolbar button: placed in the main window's toolbar (between the search bar and the hamburger menu in the top right), always visible regardless of which reading
pane you're using.

Would one of these work better for how you use Thunderbird day to day? Happy to build either, or both, if that ends up being more useful. Thanks again for flagging this!
