Recently, Thunderbird ESR version 153.0.3esr has been released to upgrade channel and I received it 2 days ago. The extension ver 4.0.9.x stopped working after this upgrade. But you can find a newer working version in Developer's Gitlab homepage:

Download the latest version XPI from Gitlab and use "Install Add-on from File". This version is working fine in Thunderbird 153.0.3esr so far. Hopefully the working version will be uploaded to official TB extension repository soon. Thanks to the Devs for keeping this up-to-date.
