The account sorting functionality was introduced in Thunderbird version 91. The folder 'mode' sorting functionality was introduced in Thunderbird 115. The folder sorting functionality was implemented in Thunderbird 139. However, due to bugs, this has actually been working without issue since Thunderbird 140.
