It works with TB 143+ if you increase the strict_max_version in manifest.json or get rid of this line while not killing the json syntax. (Open xpi with e.g. ark, update manifest.json, save, install xpi.)
It seems to work fine. In my case except for the keyboard shortcut, but that might be due to my system and not a general problem. ymmv

does not work on windows (10) and linux (centos), instead of files, a text file named documents.txt is attached with paths to the attached files.

V2 of this addon not working anymore in Thunderbird 128.9.1.
BUT my solution is: install previous version 1.128.6 and disable automatic update for this addon...

Great add-on. I only wish it did not leave remnants of the attached images (empty files named, e.g., *.jpg.part) on my desktop.

This still works with Thunderbird 115.x. I just used it to attach some files for some students. I'm very happy about this and am quite surprised this is not a native function of TBird. I highly recommend this plugin.

Very usefull, but I cannot past plain text as attachment.
Works perfectly with HTML text or images.

The add-on hasn't been well tested on macOS, mainly because I don't have a macOS machine available to me. It'd be great if you could participate in debugging this issue using the instructions here: https://github.com/mganss/AttachFromClipboard/issues/2#issuecomment-457547223

Please add ability to paste an attachment by Ctrl+V. As I understand you can get the type of the clipboard content.

Trying to copy PDFs and it just pastes a txt file with the PDF names.

Great extension, thanks for maintaining it!
Biggest limitation is that one can only paste one file, but this is, as highlighted in the GitHub issue, obviously a Windows limitation and even so work is done to get around it.
