1. Processed Data and Purpose:
Magic Translator translates email text directly inside the Thunderbird reading pane. When you click "Translate", the rendered email body is sent over direct HTTPS (or local HTTP) to the selected engine (Google Translate, DeepL API, Google Gemini API, Cloud/Local LLMs, or LibreTranslate). Email headers (sender, recipients, date, native subject) are not collected.
2. Local Storage:
API keys and settings are stored strictly locally on your machine via browser.storage.local. No data is stored on our servers.
3. Zero Telemetry:
The extension collects zero personal data, contains no analytics trackers, and serves no ads.
