Works like a charm with Thunderbird 128.3.1 ESR. However, it conflicts with the 'Thunderbird Conversations' add-on, so you'll have to choose between the two.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.9.68).To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
