The AddOn works well and as intended, thank you very much!
There is no Issues - section on Github nor an email address for bug reports, so I'm posting here:

Unfortunately the AddOn removes the email address from the To-field in a new message created from AddOn CardBook by right-clicking on an email address -> Write New Message.

Works well, would give it 5 stars but if using from Sent Items folder, which I frequently do for follow up, its uses the receivers email as the sender's email.

Excellent module complémentaire.

Moi aussi j'utilise de multiples alias en fonction de chaque organisation destinataire, et moi aussi j'en avais assez de toujours devoir ajuster l'adresse d'expéditeur à la main.

La principale critique que je pourrais faire, cependant, est que si le champ X-Original-To ne comporte pas de nom d'affichage (genre « Mon nom » dans « Mon nom <monnom@mondomaine.fr> »), le nom d'affichage initial est récupéré.
Je préfèrerais qu'il n'y ait pas de nom d'affichage, dans ce cas-là, ou bien qu'il y ait un nom d'affichage par défaut à utiliser.

Ceci pourrait faire l'objet d'une option de configuration, selon les souhaits de chaque utilisateur.

Does exactly what it says. Highly recommended, e.g. if you're using a lot of aliases or catch-all accounts.

I use separate email adresses (aliases) for every recipient to be able to filter spam. Incoming messages go into a "catch all" mailbox. When I reply, I want to use the same address - not the standard identity. Creating separate identities for all aliases in TB would be overkill. This addon saves much time :-)

Works perfect on Thunderbird 115.

I own a Domain and receive Mails via Catch-All-Address. So whenever a Company wants my Address, I give them a random but unique Address like &lt;wallmart.com@mydomain.com&gt;.
If I ever have to reply to one of their Mails, I want to use this Address in the From-Field of course.

And exactly this is the Purpose of this Add-On.

It correctly sets the From address in the reply, BUT it also sets the To address to the same address! Having to fix that every time makes this useless. I would have submitted a bug report, but there is no Issues tab in the GitHub repo, which hasn't been updated since 2021.

Parfait, remplace ce qui existait avant.
Par contre, il y a un pb lorsqu'on répond à un message pour lequel on est en copie uniquement. Ds ce cas le from prend le destinataire du message ce qui ne convient généralement pas.
Il faudrait rechercher dans les destinataires (principal et copie) une regex (paramètre) pour la mettre dans from...

Oh man. Finally! I use email aliases when I have to give out email addresses. I have hundreds of them. It has been a problem for years that I have to manually force the 'reply-to' address to match the email alias the message was sent to. This plugin works perfectly.. When I receive an email sent to an alias, I can now simply do a normal reply, and the alias is automatically inserted as the 'from' address..
