It is such a great program, I used it for my Russian correspondence all the time.
Unfortunately, it broke yesterday: The F2 toggle stopped working in my email text window.
I have windows 7, and haven't changed any settings in a while. The previous reviewer suggests this is an emoticon issue. I would switch off the emoticons if I knew how.
Please help!

Во всех окошках, где есть выбор смайликов, не возможно больше писать русскими буквами (к примеру вконтакте) - Это катастрофа! ((( Постоянно нужно писать на отдельном сайте и копировать тексты. Было бы здорово если бы устранили эту проблему..

It is a nice job. I have already installed Any key. But I can't see its button displayed in the notification area/status bar and I can't go to its setting. I am interested in typing Amharic with the help of this add on.How can I do it?

There is no more status bar in recent versions of Firefox. You might use Right Click->AnyKey->Toggle in Text Editor to Type in your language or Press F2 while in the text box.

Saves me switching keyboard all the time. Work as expected and easy to configure.
Really can't ask for much more.

The version for FF4 is not yet released but tweaking the install.rdf of xpi works just fine.

Hi,

You have created very nice tool.
But if you use more than one language (say Russian and Hebrew) it is too complicated to switch between the keymaps. Each time you need to change it in the Settings.
It will be easily if keymap change will be available through right mouse menu.

I'm not sure if it would be ok to wright in russian, so I'll ask in english after all.
The problem is, that in armenian mapping letters, that are binded to numbers and their upper keys are not showing. Everything else is just fine, but that single row of keys is making typing impossible.
Where can be the problem with that?

I can read and write in Hebrew, but type like a first-grader! With AnyKey Phonetic Hebrew I just push F2 and can type rather quickly using keystrokes of the English-sounding letter.

For Arabic this plugin is not optimal. It does not do translit very well.

This addon is really useful 4 someone like me who doesn't have an arabic keyboard and who is not familiar with arabic keyboard layout.Anyway I found a small bug :
for some unkown reason the following arabic letters don't render properley .
ؤ : ءءو
ئ : ءءي
إ : ءءا while this works A : إ
so I tried those settings and now they work :
(W : ؤ )
(Y : ئ)
any ideas why the previous settings didn't work ?
