Header Tools Improved
Рейтинг 4 из 5 звёзд
Great add-on. It helped me repair a message that wrongly displayed embedded images at the bottom of the email instead of them being displayed inline in the HTML.
Not sure how it happened, but this add-on allowed me to change easily the email source to fix it.
(In case someone has the same problem as me, more specifically, I changed with it the "Content-Type: multipart/mixed;" in the email source to "Content-Type: multipart/related;". This repaired the email and allowed images to display inline again).
Great tool. I'm sure it will prove very useful for many other things in the future.

Warning : I may be a bit stupid but it took me some time to use it. I had read the warning on the add-on page about the menu being displayed only in the message pane. And without thinking much, I stupidly thought it meant having an email opened in a new tab.
(i display emails in new tabs by default, not in the message pane below the email folder list).
It does not.
So make sure to open the message pane by pressing F8 first, then right-click in the body of the email in the message page, and you will see the "Header Tools" contextual menu there.
Edit Email Subject (EES)
Рейтинг 4 из 5 звёзд
Tested only twice but seems to work pretty well under TB v.115.8. There is a loader upon editing subject, probably related to saving email in temporary 'EES-temp' local folder before renaming it. It last 2 seconds max for me on an old computer. Still surprising to have this loader indicating some slow process, even for 2 seconds, but all in all, up to now, this seems to work well and as expected.
However, as someone below noted, it seems to work only in the inbox, not in other folders. In other folders it appears to yied an error. However when refreshing the given folder, subject editing actually worked.
I'm also just surprised this is a standard Thunderbird feature (or a default pre-installed add-one) and that an add-on would be required to be installed for this.
Darko
Рейтинг 4 из 5 звёзд
With a bit of searching i have found happiness (at least, the best i could find for dark mode in Thunderbird).
This solves the problem of white background in the composition view for Thunderbird even in dark mode themes.
It also rewrites colors hues to match dark mode, which is exactly what i wanted.
However :
I understand this is a bit of a mathematical problem, but though this works well for most colors, it removes a lot in saturation (for instance a bright red will become a paler red). This is what we want in most instances, but there are some colors with which it does not work. For instance a golden yellow on light background becomes an ugly brown on dark background. We would ultimately like it to remain a golden yellow. Etc. (I do understand this is a challenge and a bit of a conendrum for the developper)
Also, the feature "disable Darko for this sender" from contextual menu did not seem to work for me. I had to manually enter the email adress in the settings lists for it to work on Thunderbird 11.8.0 (Win10)
And as some other users said, it would be nice to be able to have an interface in the settings, where we could fine-tune the colours ourselves to our liking (and possibly the amount of hue, saturation that is added/substracted in the formula ?)
All in all, apart from that, i am satisfied as it solves most of my problem, and I thank the developper for that !
