Чуть более подробно…

I'm a computer enthusiast who started programming at 14 and never stopped since. I love all things related to computer technology and spend the majority of my time on it.

Since graduating college, I'm an application developer working for a Java development company. Of course I spend plenty of time on other languages and types of projects too, such as web development.

While maintenance has stopped for now, a fork is being considered quite actively since a long time now so it might happen soon. Regardless, it still works perfectly for me on Palemoon.

What a lot of people commenting here don't seem to understand is what this add-on is useful for. GP2 recommending PrivacyBadger instead is a clear example, because those 2 add-ons do very different things. PB is another one of those tracker-blockers, with the unique addition of an automatic detection. RP lets you simply block entire domains, preventing scripts, images, iframes, cookies and everything else entirely. It's equivalent to adding an entry to your OS' hosts file that redirects to localhost. Obviously, you need to have the skills to tell malignant domains apart from beneficial ones, otherwise you'll screw up and it's your own fault. Many people also compare it to NoScript: again, wrong. NS disables scripts from specific domains, RP blocks any and all connections to said domain, scripts and more. It's a simpler but more powerful tool than either NS or PB, or any other, because of what it does.

By the way, another great way to do all of the former is by using HostsMan and picking good blocking lists. It adds tens of thousands of entries to your hosts file to block access to ads, malware, trackers, etc, no matter which program tries to connect to them. The blocking happens at OS level, not browser/add-on level.

Eram746: Fanboy's list has recently been merged with Easylist and Easylist is what Fanboy now works on, so Fanboy's list is obsolete. At least that's what the blog says.

Meepmeep: use Adblock Plus (without filter lists) and its Element Hiding Helper to do that.

The combination of this add-on to block general ads with a filterless Adblock Plus (only your own custom rules) to remove anything that's left on the websites you most often go to is the most effective and resource-friendly way to go about it. Glad I found this one because ABP's filters with their many thousands of entries were becoming a serious strain on my resources and making everything slow. Now it's just this one with some custom rules for my own websites in ABP. Works fantastically.

Profile Manager and Synchronizer

About the size of the dialog screen (view my comment below):

you can manually change the dialog size by going to the file "profilemanager.jar" in the folder "chrome" in your profile's extension folder.
Open the file with a text editor and search for "height". The 5th hit will show this: height="590"
Below that, you'll see: width="600"
Change those untill the screen fits, but be aware that you need to restart FireFox to apply the changes.

It seems to be a very good add-on, especially when combined with DropBox, but it's quite hard to set any options decently if the options dialog window doesn't fit over all the buttons and you can't resize it. Obviously, i can't give it an accurate rating, but i do believe i will simply love this after you fixed that bug.
