NC Connector connects Thunderbird directly with Nextcloud Talk and secure Nextcloud sharing.
From the compose window, you can create secure Nextcloud shares with an upload folder, password protection, expiration date, and a formatted HTML block directly inside the email. From calendar events, you can create and manage Nextcloud Talk rooms with options such as lobby, password protection, visibility, and moderation directly from Thunderbird.

From the compose window, you can create secure Nextcloud shares with an upload folder, password protection, expiration date, and a formatted HTML block directly inside the email. From calendar events, you can create and manage Nextcloud Talk rooms with options such as lobby, password protection, visibility, and moderation directly from Thunderbird.

Nextcloud sharing in the compose window
- Guided sharing workflow with share, expiration date, files, and note
- Password-protected upload folder for one or more files
- Upload queue with progress display, duplicate checks, and optional share without upload
- Formatted HTML share block with link, password, expiration date, and optional note
- Automatic server-side cleanup if an inserted share is not sent successfully and the compose tab is closed
Attachment automation
- Optional rules for attachments directly in the compose window
- "Always handle attachments via NC Connector"
- "Offer upload above X MB" based on total attachment size
- Threshold prompt with an explicit decision: share via NC Connector or remove the last selected attachment batch

Nextcloud Talk directly from calendar events
- Create Talk rooms directly from Thunderbird events
- Configure room type, visibility, lobby, password protection, and moderation
- Insert title, location, and description including the link into the event
- Room tracking, lobby updates, and delegation workflow
- Automatic cleanup if an event is discarded or moved
- Synchronize start time and lobby timing with the server when the event changes
Optional separate password delivery by email
- Optionally send the share password in a separate follow-up email
- The inline password can be hidden in the main email and replaced with a notice
- Automatic password delivery after the main email was sent successfully

- Login Flow V2 and central options for base URL, sharing paths, defaults, and debug mode
