Excellent add-on that requires no access permissions.

You can choose the maximum number of tabs to keep open, so the Inbox tab is never lost .

Avoids the clumsy alternative of right-clicking on a tab and selecting "Close Other Tabs".

It's especially useful for a less advanced user, avoiding clutter as successive messages are read, and it clears all tabs on start-up.

I used it to set a maximum of one tab for someone who complained that they had lost their Inbox. I found they had so many tabs open that the Inbox had been pushed off to the left.
TabControl helpfully ignores the "Add-ons Manager" Tab, where its wrench allows the maximum number of tabs to be set.

On one installation I noticed that I had to exit TB and restart before TabControl would close tabs that were open before TabControl was installed.

Merci, cela fonctionne très bien. On peut régler facilement le nombre d'onglets qu'on souhaite ouvrir. Et quand on ferme Thunderbird tous les onglets se ferment. C'est précisément ce que je souhaitais ! J'adopte !!
