Was effective previously ~ 2 years ago. Now seems to actually open next email (marking it as read erroneously) then close it again so it is worse than doing nothing.
Marking the next message as read is exactly what we want to avoid! Happy to give 5 stars if fixed :)

After the 10th accidental delete or move of email due to hotkeys this literally saved thunderbird for me. I was going to delete it and move to something else.
