Crashed my FF3 (3.0.6) as well...
I also can't see any obvious changes on my bookmarks after it ran for ca. 5mins before crash. Most of my bookmarks are still "unfaviconed" like they were before:/
All i can say now, is that it could be a very handy tool if it would work, but currently it's just an early alpha build that doesn't work the way it should...sorry.
