to a block of sigs (quotations) that's keeping it from updating the target file.
but i can't find any characters that might be pissing it off.
any chance you could look at it?

anyway, in december, i screwed up and forgot to tell Thunderbird to attach the signature file.
NOW, i'm sure i have EVERYTHING right.

permission for both files are "allow everything" for everyone, encoding is right for both, etc.
EVERYTHING.

i'm currently splitting the fortune cookie file into smaller pieces. maybe there's a character somewhere that's frustrating it.

and yes, i've reinstalled it several times.

i have to give this 1 star now.
as it REFUSES to update the signature, i've tried EVERYTHING and any support is NONEXISTENT.

all of a sudden, for the past few days it won't update my sig.

encoding is still utf-8 for fortune cookie file and ANSI for target file, but it WILL NOT change it!

what gives?

CANNOT get it to work on a new install!fortune cookie and target were working FINE before.now.... nothing. =/

never changes the sig file.just keeps using the same one over and over.what gives?

it started working after i changed the encoding of the fortune cookie file to UTF8.
i also replaced all the " characters. i had been copying/pasting a lot so maybe it reached one that was the HTML " character, didn't recognize it, and stopped reading the file.

not sure which one fixed it.

maybe i'm missing something basic. where's the general config info?
