Great stuff! Exactly what I was looking for. And I agree - this should be a part of Thunderbird from the start. Not sure why original TB team cant even do a simple collapse to a side button or something. But this extension sorts it out.

One suggestion - It took me some seconds to figure out where the button to action the extension is (on top title bar) so a picture with arrow on the extension page would be neat

Nice and useful. It would be even better if the button text could be shorten to "Folder Pane".

Addon works well.
You cannot really see the icon in dark mode. Perhaps add a bright background to it?

CSS to hide button text in userChrome.css:

.extension-action > div:nth-child(1) > button:nth-child(1) {
font-size: 0 !important;
}

This is a well crafted addon and does exactly what is needed. One recommendation would be to allow for renaming the button text - Toggle Folder Pane is a little long for a button. If you can add that as a setting this would be a 5 star addon!

Like this a lot. Just wish the button was incorporated into the Spaces Toolbar instead.
