Nice add-on yet is not "Extractor" to me as it is lacking the main feature in extraction: removing the attachment from the original email. Along to that, the downloaded files should allow to keep track of the original email and have a direct link to it, such as time, date and subject in the "extracted" files.
Without it, it is a little more than a glorified download automation program. Not to diminish the deserved credit for the module yet I find it misleading. Or maybe I just haven't been able to use the program properly.

I apologize for the confusion; in choosing the term "extraction" I was being imprecise and simply using the term applied previously by similar add-ons.

There is a Permanently Detach feature which performs the actual removal of the attachment. This should be available after you have performed the initial "extraction", although there are some limitations -- for example, it is simply impossible at this point to delete attachments in encrypted messages. If you are not seeing the Permanently Detach option, please contact me and describe your use case so that I can assist you.
