I think this extension should be stripped of its geeky features and integrated in FF to be the default download manager.

The developers of this extension get paid in real currency by the ad networks, but they pay their users in AdCoins, whose value they decide. Most people will probably get rid of this extension before they reach the amount of AdCoins they can redeem.

UPDATE:

This is definitely a scam. All of the accounts of the 5 star reviewers on this page were created on February 18, most likely to bury a stream of bad reviews.
