UnMHT

Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5 n yetran

Starting from development version 5.1.1, UnMHT is compatible with Mozilla Archive Format development version 0.9.0!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (5.1.0).

UnMHT

Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5 n yetran

I'm the current developer and maintainer of the Mozilla Archive Format extension.

I found UnMHT mentioned sometimes as an alternative to MAF, and gave it a try. I found that UnMHT is really superior to MAF 0.6.3 with regard to MHT handling.

In particular, UnMHT over MAF has:
* Higher level of MHT compatibility.
* The ability to save the current state of a page.
* Memory caching of MHT contents.

However, at present, MAF remains the only solution for viewing and saving the MAFF ZIP-based, cross-browser file format. MAF is only compatible with Firefox 3, while UnMHT supports a wider range of applications.

UnMHT source code is well written, understandable and maintainable; comments are written in Japanese.

From version 5.1.1, UnMHT is fully compatible with MAF development version 0.9.0.

MAF 0.8.0 for Firefox 3 is now available at the official site:

http://maf.mozdev.org/

It has a lot of improvements over the previous version 0.6.3.

It is also heading towards greater compatibility with UnMHT, so that you'll be able to use both extensions at the same time.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.3).
