This works quite well but I am not comfortable with the Permissions of "Read all Emails".
Is there a way to suggest the Thunderbird developers to "implement a functionality to at least allow different notification sounds for different accounts" (just like the mobile TB version)?
It would also help if the TB Mail Filters would have a "Perform Action: Play Sound" (similar to Outlook).

It turns out Thunderbird already supports Google Calendar by default:

No need for any add-ons!
I followed the steps from the How To and added my calendar without any issues.
It is now natively supported and smoothly syncing with Google Calendar!
