This fixes a LONG outstanding bug that Mozilla should have fixed years ago.
Hopefully Mozilla will adopt some of this code, with the author's permission, to finally fix this Firefox issue.

This extension is amazing, and much better than the Network Monitor now included with Firefox.
The log will stay open and persistent ACROSS TABS, allowing you to view the full HTTP/S transaction log. Mozilla's Network Monitor included with Firefox cannot perform this essential task.
Hopefully this extension will continue to get updated.
As of Firefox 44, this extension causes the following warnings in the Browser Console:

Now that Mozilla has released Firefox 41, which changes how it handles stylesheets, the memory used by ABE has been greatly reduced.
This extension is worthy of a reintroduction!

It's amazing that Mozilla keeps on dumbing-down Firefox and removing important functionality / data, while adding non-essential junk.
This extension successfully restores the important version information that Mozilla decided to hide within a tooltip.
Soon, we will all be running dozens of extensions just to fix "improvements" made by Mozilla.
Overlay Blocker - Close Website Overlays

Looks like a great idea. Can you clarify the functionality? Does this remove the overlay one time, or is it a filtering extension that will filter the overlay forever? If the latter, where does it store the list of overlays being filtered? Is there a way to remove items from that list?

If you want a fast and lightweight web filter, here it is!
Works great. The tradeoff is that it blocks less than some web filtering extensions, but at the same time it does not break nearly as many sites, is lightning fast, and doesn't take up much memory.
