It works in version 65 - that I use and find better than the latest. I suggest you change the manifest minimal version to 64 instead of 78, it is a tip for people using versions prior to 78. Unzip the xpi, edit the manifest and zip in a new xpi. Worked fine!

It will show the window being minimised for a split second but better than nothing. My windows shortcut wouldn't minimise it itself for some reason.

Working on 78.13.0 (64 bit).

If you use Thunderbird as your windows MAPI mail program usually clicking on a "mail" button in your windows app will open the Thunderbird "write" message window = great!

However if you don't have Thunderbird already running in the background, the main Thunderbird window will open (over the top of the write message window) = not so great!

This extension is simple and solves the issue by minimizing the main Thunderbird window immediately it opens, leaving the write window alone = perfect!

This should be a standard feature option.
