It is a great addon, BUT...please...make it compatible with later versions of TB = 60. and higher
Despite I have forced TB to allow all addons(extensions.strictCompatibility) , and most of them are working(despite formaly they are not compatible with last TB releases)...this one addon is not truly working properly -notes are just not showed along with emails.
Im giving 2 stars,due to this compatibility problem,otherwise I would give 5 stars

I enjoyed the app. Actually, it could use a little more finesse but it was simple. I'm unhappy it no longer works. Please update to work with Firefox 60.?. I'll change my review. I don't even know I can still see old notes I made.

One of the most useful plugins in Thunderbird. Quickly add notes like tasks or additional information to mails (like things agreed per phone call with the sender). Helps to boost productivity greatly.
Unfortunately, as of 30th November 2018, not compatible with Thunderbird 60.3., so all my notes are inaccessible.
Please keep up the good work and make it compatible to the newest version! Thank you.

Very good plugin, unfortunately stopped working on Thunderbird 60.3, so all my entered notes are gone.
Seems that this plugin is no longer updated.

1. Make sure the message pane is shown (F8)
2. While pointing to the toolbar of the message pane, right click the mouse and select Customise
3. Drag the Note icon(s) you need to the toolbar
4. Enjoy

Sounds like just what I need ... but no instructions on how it works. I have it set up, but how do you add notes? Also, the developer's website has been down for quite some time, so no way to get support there.

I absolutely love this addon. I think it would be perfect if there was a way to move the note to a different spot in the email, (and an option to change the background color). As it is now, it stays docked at the bottom. Any chance of this happening?

Useful and necessary addon for those who need more control and flexibility handling its emails but there is room for improvement in its execution.

The "Notes" menu item is stuck at the bottom of the context menu and can't be moved by Menu Wizard.

I wanted to add text to emails so that they would show up in the search in future (like tags in Firefox bookmarks). This addon lets you add notes in an attractive and sensible way but is not factored into the search engine.
There is no box alongside the other buttons (Sender, Recipients, Subject, Body) which would be idea really.
Otherwise it's great. It appears as a panel at the bottom of the message and there is the ability to change the height of the box if so wished. It works well with TB 38.5.0.

Unfortunately, the notes are not serchable. So you cannot search trough yours notes. Is there any other addon with this ability?

I made some test notes and tried to use the Search function. It did not find any of them.
Also, it appears that only one note per message is allowed. If a note already exists on a message and you try to add a new one, the existing one is deleted.

This add-on does exactly what I needed! Thank you so much for providing it. I love being able to jot a note quickly and easily; see the date and time of the note, and the note text, clearly and easily at the bottom of my email message; and display the Note status of my emails in the Columns of the Thunderbird folder.

Auto-tags do not work. Search do not work.
