Lol guru.. may be tomorrow, since he declared this on his site:

"Important notice

At the moment Mail Redirect is not yet compatible with Thunderbird 78.*. I'm still working on a new version that works with Thunderbird 78.*. If you depend on this functionality, please don't upgrade to Thunderbird 78, but stay on version 68 and disable updates, until a compatible version of Mail Redirect is released. If uou already upgraded to Thunderbird 78, and want to downgrade again to Thunderbird 68, please refer to this support question for instructions: Downgrade Thunderbird profile from 78 to 68"

A year & half ago..... .

but he's still working on the update, right ? when it'd take 1 or 2 days for another programmer to fix it.

The simple answer is: He doesn't seem to care, in all reality, & maybe updating the project by another programer & make it a mod could be a possible option. & actually, they're 2 on the project & none of them updated it..

We all know by now that the author has been hard at work making this compatible with TB 78+. Huge "thank you"!

There is the alternative 'Simple Mail Redirection' that works on TB 78+. Although it works it's not on-par with this one here. I wish the two authors would have collaborated on creating a single add-on that combines the best of the two.

this has been one of my favourite add-ons for a long time but I have just been forced to update to the latest version of thunderbird and now it doesn't work..... I hope you can soon get it fixed for people that have come to rely on this daily

Is excellent, but don't work with last Thunderbird, have a lot of machines without update because of that.

This was an essential add-on for me until it got disabled by the upgrade to Thunderbird 78.3.1
Glad to see the developers are working hard to bring it back. Looking forward very much to the new version.

I hope this add-on can be updated for TB 78.2 (which is an add-on nightmare - lost 80% of the add-ons I was using). When you need this function, you really need it and nothing else will do.

I'm working on it... but if you need this function, for now, you'll have to disable auto updates and download and reinstall Thunderbird 68.* again. At first start, you must run it with command line option --allow-downgrade

Loved this add-on, it *was* an essential for me.

I feel the same as others who've said that had they known that this add-on would be rendered useless by the latest Thunderbird update I'd have not bothered updating. Really winds me up when this happens. Really feel for the add-on developers.

I've lost something like 6 add-ons with the updates of late. So frustrating ....

which is meant to ease the migration of legacy addons to TB 78.

Hi, I've seen the API, but even with the API it requires a significant amount of work, because of the backwards compatibility I had and the tight integration with Thunderbird with the UI and Options.

I like to use this adoon, unfortunately the update to thundrbird 78 .... deactivated the add-on and is no longer compatible. What alternatives are there or is there a new adon for mail redirection?

As fas as I know, this is the only add-on for redirecting. I'm busy rewriting it for TB78, but it will take quite some more time before I'm finished.
