Here it is also no more running with Thunderbird 78.2.2.

Will it be patched for Thunderbird 78.2.2+?

It would be so important for us to have this great plugin back. We always accidentally click and close the whole Thunderbird and after an hours or so we wonder why there are no new mails. Oh, man, Thunderbird was accidentally closed again.

Please, please fix this plugin!

This addon is a "must have" :)
Thanks for making it work with TB 78 and later.

PS: if only someone would do the same for Firefox !

Great icon. Could you please update this addon so that it can be used in Thunderbird 78? Thank you very much.

Great add-on, works exactly as described!

Question for the dev: Is it possible to add a feature to minimize TB on start (like it was with Minimize on start and close add-on)? Or is there something in the new API that prevents this? Thanks anyway!

Works flawless!

I'd wish it would close TB to system tray instead of "only" minimize to taskbar.

Yettwasezmel 3 ɣef 5 n yetran

This is not working like title said, it minimized to open taskbar not tray, so the button "x" is changed to "_", is it possible to change it?

I'm sorry the addon doesn't do what you want, but it does exactly what it's supposed to do.

https://www.computerhope.com/jargon/t/taskbar.htm

What you mean is called "system tray" and it is a subset of the taskbar.

I have no plans on implementing this, but the add-on is open source and you're free to modify it however you want to.

Must-have! Along with https://github.com/gyunaev/birdtray with appropriate settings.

I used to use Minimize on Start and Close until TB60 killed that off, I've since been using an additional program that disables TB close button, but TB 68 killed off that method as well.
I was lucky to find your add-on. It does exactly what I want and works perfectly.
Many thanks.

Funciona, clicas en el botón cerrar y Thunderbird se minimiza al área de notificación. TB v. 60.5.1

Sadly this is not like minimize to tray because it DOES NOT MINIMIZE TO THE TRAY! It just keeps tb in the taskbar, like the name suggests. That means thunderbird still gets in your way when switching between applications / alt-tabbing / multitasking.
I really hope there will be a solution for this soon.

It does exactly what it says but isn't really usefull imo.
Not a real min-to-tray.
