Simple but great, right what I was looking for.
I confirm you can set different profiles with different subsets of account; then you can just press the button and download the default profile's mails, or choose a different profile.

Note: after set the profile(s) remember to restart Thunderbird, or you won't see any cange.

@developer: would be even nicer to have different buttons for different profiles

I'm astonished you got to restart TB in order to enable changes. If you got some time to help me, please contact me at getselectedmails(at)gmail(dot)com so we fix this.
Considering your feature request, i'm gonna see how to deal with it. Just to be sure: you mean a dedicated button for one profile, don't you? Regards

This feature has been added in v0.7.0
