This works great. Copy the suggested control set for your language from the instructions into the Add In's settings to get special characters for your language, such as inverted question mark and inverted exclamation point in Spanish.

You can add these yourself. Go to the settings and add at the end:
,?:¿,!:¡
So for example:
e:é,w:è,r:ê:ë,a:à:â:a,c:ç,o:ô:œ:o,u:ù:û:u,i:î:ï:i,$:€,d:°,C:Ç,,?:¿,!:¡
Would do the trick for you.

Tried this add-on and it works very well. The possibility to manage your own 'accents' is quite clever. Not 5 stars because it is under development still

It takes a little patience to set it up for the characters you anticipate using, but once done, it's super. Simplest way yet to enter those unusual characters. I avoided the default setup, as it gave more options than I use, so I took the sample German configuration and added a couple from French configuration. Again, a touch of patience, but it really pays off. SUPER!
