GOOD NEWS 4 XMAS : QuickText add-on WORKS again!
A team of developers rewrote it - thanx to all incl John Bieling
You can download the xpi from Github
https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/quicktext/versions/
Then import xpi in TB
QuickText is still one my favorite add-on for TB

I use quickText since .... years, ie to send private or business mails
Dear John Bieling, thank you for your commitment.
I understand that Quicktext is "in Transit" because it (must) migrate(s) from the ancient legacy model to the modern WebExtension model.
Looking forward for the next releases ;)
