I'm sure Firefox selected the correct version of Google just fine until the last update. This fixed it again though, thanks

Make sure to switch default and one click to the new Google UK option.

Works a treat. I've been really frustrated with my browser always defaulting to google.hu (as I'm in Budapest).

I wish there was a way to do this via the options. Good solution though, so thanks!

There are two Google UK addons for Firefox floating around - the other addon will always return only pages from the UK. This is the addon you want if you want your Firefox search to behave like it should if you were to go to Google.co.uk.

Excellent, The option of choosing search engine country should be built into Firefox by default, but until it is this will fill the gap.

Brilliant! No shenanigans whatsoever. Why you can't actively choose what google to use anyway, I've no idea but it does exactly what you want. Thanks!
