I found addon "Forget Me Not" to offer almost the same functionality, but is working on the new Firefox.

After removing it it still doesn't disappear from my toolbar nor does its effects. HOW DO I REMOVE THIS COMPLETELY?

This is to add balance to my earlier review. CookieKeeper is an outstanding add-on. It covers conventional and LSO cookies and in this it is, as far as I know, unique. I find it invaluable.

Unfortunately it has not been updated for Firefox versions later than 49.0, but as noted earlier, it does work in Firefox 54.0 save for one annoying bug.

It seems a good add-on but it systematically crashes on clicking the "Show cookies" menu entry.
