The providier and/or lightning itself seem to eat memory at an alarming and increasing rate.

I (among many others) have verified a marked improvement in TBird without Lightning using the provider. Without lightning on Windows, TBird uses about 250M, with it about 350 and escalating, and with the provider 450-750.

I have looked across the web, and see lots of reports to this effect, but no responses
