CardBook
Assegnate 3 su 5 stelle
I recently wrote a new review for CardBook but since then I have found some new issues but have been unable to place them on Github.
I was using TB 102.x when I removed and reinstalled CardBook I am now moving across to TB 115.x
Not all Lists or Labels are brought in from TB Personal Address Book and only those with entry's are brought in from Google or Yahoo. This is not exactly true though there is no consistency each occurrence of setting up CB over the past month.
I am running Windows 7, 10, and a number of instances of various Linuxes

I tried CardBook, TbSync with; TbSync-4-Google and Provider CalDAV & CardDAV two years ago. It looked as if Thunderbird was going to sort out there address book making all these add-ons redundant. This has not happened and of all of those I list only CardBook runs and now seems to work well, I have not done much with it was promising but now is very good.
The significant thing is that TB Address-books do not synchronise lists or as Google call them labels whereas CardBook does.
I found the initial set up notchy in CardBook but okay. I could re-enable it after a year disabled or delete restart TB and reinstall it in which case the old data may or may not be found (I wanted the old data to be cleared which CardBook does not do after a new installation not a restore).
You can work around the initial setting up it is easy enough. There is a section on Thunderbird on my blog

Provider for CalDAV & CardDAV

Provider CARDDAV CALDAV is not so good with Yahoo yet.
This looks as if it is going to be a very good add-on once it is working well. Unfortunately, Yahoo contacts support are not fully functional yet so CardBook, TbSync and Thunderbird CARDDAV address book does not work fully yet.
The best thing to do is export all your lists then import them to your email providers contacts one list at a time. I use all three but with different email providers to see which turns out to work best.

TbSync

Google-4-TbSync is a good add-on to use with this add-on. Provider CARDDAV CALDAV with Yahoo is not so good yet with TbSync.

Addressbooks Synchronizer

I am running Linux and I am using the imap folder method.
My contacts synchronise well but the lists are lost. I suspect that the problem is a combination of the way Thunderbird works and some sort of merging or tidying that this tool seems to be doing.
Load and save at the start and at closing when I log out of the pc works well.
My plan is to try another tool or Symlink to share the abook.map on a cloud folder. I may return to Address Synchroniser
