I tried to contact the author via his private website, email, twitter, and other social networks. There is no response at all!
Could anybody who understands coding update this plugin as the author abandoned it? Any way to fix it? Would be most appreciated!

This is an indispensable addon for Thunderbird- one of the best. However, it does not work with TB 60.3!

Mozilla loves to break your most used extensions when they push a new version upgrade. Please update soon so we can go back to our normal lives.

I loved this extension. Simple way of changing colours of text one uses in the message to highlight key words etc.
But it stopped working once I moved to TB 52, and now TB60. PLEASE update. Thanks in advance!

The only problem is a visual one: the new compose toolbar that replaces the default one looks squeezed vertically by almost 50%!
(under Linux Mint 18.3)

I can not fill the buttons with desired colors - nothing is reacting. but the placement of the buttons seems to be ideal, but could be a bit taller (bigger)...

I love this add-on, but since the upgrade to TB 45.0 the 'buttons' have become really small :(

I have been looking for this from quite some time.
Thank you very much for the very useful software.
For the quick selection of colors, additonal color buttons in toolbar are very much useful.
These are very much useful for replying mails with inline responses.

I am just using the five colors at this point. I'd like to select a color, and then respond after each paragraph, always in my selected color. But it keeps reverting to black, and I have to re-select the color each time I jump to a different place to write something.

How does the Highlight Text Background function? I had a text highlighter but this addon supplanted/removed it. It would be nice to have a highlighter again.

Thanks for providing this great handy and useful Add-on! It works fine and as expected!

But! I can't figure out how to - Highlight Text Background -, you write in the description? Does this mean to select one of predefined colors for the - Text Background Color - ? If it does without a help of any installed Add-On e.g. edit HTML, could you give me a tiny help how?
(Choosing one of colors change only the Text Foreground Color)

This is an awesome addon. #appreciation to the author!
Like another user here, I too would like to have more specific customizing options regarding individual buttons/icons appearing in the toolbar. Or perhaps at least a "wrap" option?
One reason for me is that 3 other addons that i use also place buttons in this toolbar on the top row. With those and this addon's buttons, in order to view them all I have to have a impractically wide Compose window open. Narrowing the window results in some buttons being non-accessible. There's additional room in the second row at least, but it can't be accessed or customized etc (hence, a "wrap" option might help?).
Thanks again for an awesome addon & consideration of our requests!
[btw, fwiw i'm running Earlybird (Aurora) v35 & have found no issues--tho i've not used every one of the advanced options e.g. MathType]

Loves this add-on. An easy way to change text colors. I have needed something like this for a while. The other buttons are a plus.

The only request I would ask is the ability to toggle on/off ALL of the buttons, as I have no use for the math related ones, and some others are duplicative of ones I have by default. I know you can turn some on/off by groups but I rather select them individually.

Those having trouble with v2.3.0 can try the v3.3 which is waiting for approval and available via the "Version Information/See complete version history" below.
It works fine for me with TB31b1.
